La fe produce obras pero las obras no producen fe. Esa es la razón que ha Dios le interesa mas la fe que las obras porque Dios sabe que si tenemos gran fe, vamos a tener grandes obras. Pero si lo único que tenemos es obras, entonces no vamos a poder agradar a Dios.
Por ejemplo, el joven rico que le pregunto a Jesus acerca de qué debería hacer para tener vida eterna. Él estaba enfocado en las obras. Toda su vida había hecho muchas cosas buenas. Pero Jesus no se impresiono por las obras de este joven. Él quería ver su fe así que Jesus probo su fe cuando le dice “deja todo lo que tienes y dalo a los pobres”. No era algo que se requería mucho trabajo físico, pero sí requería mucha fe. Y cuando el joven no aceptó hacer eso, estaba demostrando que no tenia fe. Y eso lo descalifico.
Así que en este día, si no tenemos obras recuerde que es por nuestra falta de fe. Si no podemos hacer mucho por Dios, es porque nos falta mas fe. Pidamos a Dios que nos dé más fe, para poder hacer mas por Dios. Digamos, “Dios, dame fe primero, déjame creerte mas para luego hacer mas por ti”

Cree en el Señor Jesús. Sólo tienen fe; obtendrás lo que pides. Si no tienes fe, no puedes tener nada. Porque con fe... Sin fe es imposible complacer a Dios.
Faith produces works, but works do not produce faith. That is the reason that God is more interested in faith than works because God knows that if we have great faith, we will have great works. But if all we have is works, then we are not going to be able to please God.
For example, the rich young man who asked Jesus about what he should do to have eternal life. He was focused on works. All his life he had done many good things. But Jesus was not impressed by the works of this young man. He wanted to see his faith so Jesus tested his faith when he says to him "leave everything you have and give it to the poor." It wasn't something that required a lot of physical work, but it did take a lot of faith. And when the young man did not agree to do that, he was showing that he had no faith. And that disqualified him.
So on this day, if we do not have works remember that it is because of our lack of faith. If we cannot do much for God, it is because we lack more faith. Let us ask God to give us more faith, so that we can do more for God. Let's say, "God, give me faith first, let me believe you more and then do more for you."
